One day Peter and John went to the temple at the hour of prayer. They found a lame man at the gate called Beautiful.  He was asking alms of those who came to pray. Peter said, “Look on us,” the man did so and the Bible says that he was expecting to receive something. By the way, Frosty is my grand-dog and he belongs to Danette (my daughter), Jerry (my son-in-law) and Hannah (my granddaughter). With great expectancy Frosty comes begging hoping to receive something of the great lady, “Sarah,” Who is the sovereign ruler over the kitchen. When Frosty comes to our home he lies at the gate called “kitchen” and he is begging for alms. (Acts 3:1-11)

Recently Sarah said if we had that kind of hope or expectancy in God, we would find it much easier to receive from God.  After all, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things I cannot see. (Heb 11:1) I have noticed that Frosty has great tenacity as well.  He knows that there is a reward if you just stay with it. He has had a taste of human food and he has a great desire for more.

So it is with us - the taste of Heaven and the blessing of God on our lives has forever changed us. We, all of us, desire the taste of heaven and the Spirit of God in our lives. So we too stand at the gate. Our Father God is the gateway to every blessing, every fulfilled dream. He is the gateway to the miracle power of heaven. He has and wants to bless you with every spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus from the heavenly realm. (Ephesians 1:3)  And here we stand Lord before You, and our hope and our faith will never be disappointed.
